We’ve picked our top 10 great things to do this year in our wonderful county with our visit Leicestershire bucket list. This is the ninth in our instalment of 10 great things to do in Leicestershire, to inspire you to spend a canal boat holiday in the Midlands this year. Take a look at our first recommendation to take a walk up Old John or perhaps you would like to check out Twycross Zoo? Spend a memorable day out with a trip on a steam train along the Battlefield Line. If you enjoy historical sites, then visit Bosworth Battlefield, and take in a bit of cultural learning at the King Richard III Visitor Centre.
For a quieter day out with the family, we suggested a trip to the New Walk Museum in Leicester. And in our last two updates, for a much noisier day out, we suggested either a family friendly trip to Twin Lakes, or a trip to Mallory Park Motor Circuit. Last week we suggested you visit Tropical Birdland, and this week’s suggestion is to visit the amazing National Space Centre!

With six interactive galleries, the UK’s largest planetarium, unique 3D Simulator Experience and the iconic 42m high Rocket Tower, the award-winning National Space Centre is an out of this world experience.
