The Ashby Canal Towpath will be closed 13th January 2014 (6am) until 28th February 2014 (6pm)

Market Bosworth Marina between Bridge 43, Bosworth Wharf Bridge and Bridge 43, Kings Bridge.

Following extensive ground investigations carried out by the contractors they have amended their proposed method of working, which means the closure of the navigation will no longer be required.

However, the towpath closure will still be required for the construction of a new foot bridge and final connection of the marina to the canal.

The towpath will be closed between Bridge 42, Bosworth Wharf Bridge and Bridge 43, Kings Bridge.

The visitor mooring above the winding hole will remain open, however there will be no pedestrian access from Bridge 42 to the moorings.

To facilitate the construction of the new entrance, the water points to the North of Bridge 42 will have to be closed for the duration of this stoppage notice.

Alternative water point are available at Snarestone and Sutton Cheney Wharf.
